Beautiful item but XL does not equal 1X
Exactly one week since Savage launched and it's here! I bought this item with tremendous excitement as soon as the line launched. On the website there was not a size chart that allowed customers to equate their measurements with letter sizing (S-XL, 1X-3X) and there still isn't on May 18, 2018 but I bought this corset anyway, following the statement that underwear follows the "standard sizing" and a 1X corresponds with an XL. I wasn't missing out on this item so I thought "we'll see" and I prayed it would fit. I am a size 14/16 (L/XL) in clothes and underwear with a 38DD bust. As an "in betweenie" between straight sizes and plus, I took my chances. Trying to fit into this corset was a disappointment :( It looks like it would fit a size 10/12 at best. The cups are a demi/half cup and when I held the corset up to me, my chest was spilling in the cups. When fitting the corset around me, I found it difficult to fasten all of the way around. I would recommend this for my smaller framed, less busty friends that have something to work with. Regardless of the fit, I do think the corset is beautiful and well constructed. It has a vintage vibe that doesn't remind you of your grandma's lingerie. It remains modern and sexy despite the vintage look. The bones throughout the corset are semi-flexible, with an exception of the bones the support the front closure. In the original editorial and ecommerce images, I thought the buttons were rhinestone buttons and they are not! It's a gold metal, fully-enclosed hook. These fasteners at the front are sturdy. At the top and bottom of the front closure there are two slip-toggle fasteners as well. The garters at the bottom are also detachable and have great stretch. This item does not have any body contouring or "control" fabric but the lace up back can adjust the fit further. I hope other people are able to enjoy this beautiful item as much as I hoped I would. This is a beautiful item to have in your collection. I do not see corsets like these often at a price point that delivers quality like this does. Granted, I could not try it on fully so I am unaware of how the construction will hold up with continuous wear. I really want to find items in my true size. The Savage x Fenty team needs to publish a COMPREHENSIVE SIZE CHART (not just one for bra measurements) to avoid having customers suffering from similar confusion and upset when buying their items across their range. I hope this comes out for plus sizes soon! We all deserve to shop the same items and have them fit us, not be limited to a particular range :)

Love the style, not the fit
When I saw Rihanna model this corset on IG, I couldn't wait for the line to drop so I could get it. Then after being disappointed that all the sizes were sold out for a week or two, I was excited to find a large available and got it, since my clothing sizes range between medium and large depending on the style. I was a little skeptical about whether it would accommodate my DDD breasts, and had an XL been available I would have ordered it in that size to be safe. Just as I was afraid of, when it arrived my breasts were spilling out of the cups, and I couldn't even get it around my body to close it. So I couldn't even get to squeeze into it long enough to see what it would've looked like on me in general. However the thong I ordered with it fit just fine. I have been hanging on to it for a couple weeks hoping that more corsets would be restocked and I could exchange it for an XL. But after reading the other reviews, I finally accepted that it would be best to just send it back for a refund, as much as I didn't want to let it go. It's a beautiful, sexy style, and I hope in the future I'll be able to find a corset similar to this that I can actually try on and have a successful fit. Having said that, I also ordered a bra and matching cheeky panty that I am very satisfied with. I agree with another customer who suggested that there should be a size chart for this type of lingerie, because all L and XL bodies are not created equal. Please keep this under consideration when you create future lingerie pieces.

Poor Design
I wear real corsets regularly but this was difficult to get on due to the hook and eye closures at the top and bottom. The hook wouldnt easily slide in and out of the loop. The string to lace the back feels durable but I wish it were twice as long. This will not work on girls who have a short torso or who are shorter so I retuned it. I am 5'2" and torso length from under boob to thigh crease is around 10".
